MBRAS launched its monograph series in 1964 with Social Stratification in Kampong Bagan, a sociological study of a Malay village in Johor by Dr Syed Husin Ali that has become a classic. Later monographs include ground-breaking studies on subjects that were relatively obscure at the time but have since become the focus of much scholastic activity.
This page provides a complete list of MBRAS monographs. The Society is preparing new editions of many of the volumes that are no longer in print and will make them available as ebooks and print editions.
